“There is an old Chapel in Boyle's field down in Laught.”
There is an old Chapel in Boyle's field down in Laught. There are only the four walls left in it now and there is a holy-water font in it. It is made of stone, but it is split in two halves now. The old people say that there is a cure for warts in the font. If a person wanted to get rid of warts he would go to the Chapel on five Fridays in succession and bring holy-water with him, then put it into the font and rub it on the warts. Then they believe that this would kill the warts.- Collector
