- In a field in Caherlissakill near Ryehill there were two men, Seán Tuhy and his brother, digging. Seán dug up a "preat" of clay and he saw a pot of gold under it."M'anam an cum diabáil" he said, "cá luac peíre bróg agam anors!" he had seven sovereigns in his hand at that moment. He had just taken them out of the clay. But when he mentioned the devil he could not get any more gold. It is said that there is a black cat minding that gold ever since.
