- About two and a half miles from Galway at the back of Ballybrit racecourse there is a hollow piece of land called the Lissheen. In the middle of the land there is two big rocks. One of seven tons and a small one of two tons. The big one is on top of the small one.Men came and examined the rocks and said that there is a tunnel leading to a castle in front of the racecourse. The old people say that the rocks were there about the time of Saint Patrick.(continues on next page)
