    guards it. It is said that a life must be lost before the treasure is discovered.
    Patrick McNulty and Michael Mullen of Tawley made an attempt to get the treasure. They went up to the rock and dug round it and took out a great heap of stones, small and large. When they were well down they called out the cat to fight. The cat appeared but the two men got afraid and ran away. They never went back.
