    clay ground which contained about one acre. He bought the plot from Patrick Devaney and he paid a token of sixty pounds for it. It was opened a year ago and the first person who was buried there was a woman named Mrs. Sheerin, Moneen, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim. About the month of July nineteen hundred and thirty seven it was blessed by the Very Rev. M. Dolan P.P.V.J. assisted by Rev. J. McGrail. C. C. Kinlough. A huge procession followed the priest and they walked to the new cemetery, the children carrying lighted candles. After the ceremony was completed the priest addressed the multitude and explained to them the great work in which they assisted that day.
