    Mc Donaghs from the County Mayo. The Mc Donaghs are not so poor as many of their race.
    Their way for travelling is horses and "spring vans" and when they come to this district they stay for a few days and sometimes a week if they were allowed. On their way through the district the women beg and the men travel on and have the tent made and a fire. They make the tent from half round iron bars stuck in the ground and a canvas hood over the bars. The poorest of them make their tent
