- There were numerous old shops throughout this district of which the remains are not to be seen of most of them at the present time. There was a grocer shop at Clintons Bush in the townland of Gurteendarragh Kinlough, Co. Leitrim. There was also another grocer shop and a "Sheeben shop" at Pat Mc Gowan bridge, Aughaderrard, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim. The shops were owned by James Dermot and his wife Mary Hernan.
