    Others sold potatoes, onions, cabbage, turnips and other vegetables for goods. They also got things on tick and made a promise that they would pay for them in a certain time and if they would not pay at that time or give some of the money the bill would be made bigger.
    About one hundred years ago there was an old shop at the end of the village of Kinlough. In it lived a man and a woman named Sheerin. There was only one room in the house. They sold everything except bacon. They used to sell night and day but they never sold anything on
