- Tottenham was the Landlord of this district. His family lived at Glenfarne hall. His family can be dated back to the beginning of the Irish wars. His house was built by the first of his family who came to Ireland after the style of a French Chateau. Tottenham built the four corner houses in Kiltyclogher.
The country was divided among the Landlords. The people were only tennants on their own land. If they faild to pay the rent the Bailleff would evict. When they were evicted some used to go to America and others used to live in byres. If your neighbour paid more rent he would get your farm. The Land League did away with that sort of work.
