used to sell four quarts of buttermilk for a penny and had a very small husband and one fine day he got up on a stool to get a drink of buttermilk and he toppled over and fell into the churn and was almost drowned only the big woman saw him and released him. But buttermilk is so scarce at the present that there is no danger of any to be drowned in it.
