  2. About one hundred yards from the shore of Lough Melvin in Co. Leitrim in the historic parish Rossenver stands the remains of an old Monastery in which Saint Mogue dwelt. One day cook served him with dinner which consisted of a chicken. It being on one of those days on which Mogue used to abstain from eating flesh meat and seeing the chicken on the table before him he asked the cook had she no fish; She answered "No" where one the Holy Man performed a great miracle by converting the chicken into a fish called the
