That he must sell the meal he had to feed his children dear.
Or soon he would be roofless and his cabin in a blaze
For the hand that would his cabin wreck his store of food would seize. IIIThe thought of that pathetic sight shall always haunt my mind
When I was told 2 lbs of meal was all was left behind.
