    death. "Paidin a vic," said the Mother go as quick as your legs can carry you to the chimest shop in Manorhamilton and get some powder for the baste which will give pace to the animal. Paidin set off in full trot and his cap in his fist. As he was passing Cloonaquin wood Paidin heard some noise and rustling in a bush. On looking in what did he spy but the queerest looking wizened old hag you ever laid an eye on. Paidin drew close to the fence to have a good squint at the ould hag. And sure enough there she was sittin on a stump of a tree combing her long grey hair which reached to her feet. He could see her long crooked nose which almost touched her turned up chin, and she singing horrid nice music out and out. Paidin forgetting about the trouble at home for a moment and watching the antics and capers of the quare lassy in the wood didn't he burst
