Paidin not meeting with much luck thought the ould blade was only making a fool of him. Paidin being of a religious turn of mind took off his ould caubin [cap] to bless himself before making a final effort. Hearing a noise high up on the wall didn't Paidin look up, and didn't he see one of the drollest looking wee brown gintlemen ever you laid an eye on. He was dressed in red breeches and a tailed coat, turned up shoes and a tall silk hat. He was a very cute looking boyo indeed. Mabe it's how that you'd be after losing something asked the wee gintleman. "Begob it's not" said Paidin but it's how that I'm looking for something that I niver had what's worse," retrned Paidin. "Lave it to me so and I'll put you on the right track," said the droll wee man. "Faith I will," says Paidin "for it's often I do be hearing of gintlemen like you giving fortunes to people in need."
