(Age 14 years) - The man who dreamt of a Hidden Treasure. One time there was a man who dreamt of a crock of gold that was hidden at the side of a lake and that there was an eel minding it.
He dreamt three nights one after another. When he awoke the third morning he told his story to another man and the two went to the lake and the man who dreamt of it swam into the lake and saw that all was the same as he dreamt. He saw a crock full of gold and the eel twisted around it with his tail in his mouth and all he was able to take was a capful. He went for a second capful. When he came back with it he said to the man. "I am a bit afraid to go in for a third". The other man said "Go in again" so in he went and when he had the third filled he heard a voice saying beside him. "The nauní", The nauni you're asleep and you a robbing". And with that the eel leaped at the man and killed him. The other man on the bank saw the water(continues on next page)
