- A Cure for a Mote in the Eye 3:12:37
Thomas Gallagher who lives in the townland of Gowlaun has the cure for a mote in the eye. His father left it to him before he died.
The cure can be made on any day, but must be made before sunset.
It is not necessary for the sufferer to be present when the cure is being made. It is through the prayers which the curer says that the mote is removed from the eye. I am sorry that I have never heard what prayers are said, but I think that it is a secret reserved for the curer only.
