On another occasion there was a man named Martin McHugh you coming home from the town. There was a field of corn near the fort. We heard horses eating corn and the noise of chains rattling. He got afraid and ran home as quickly as he could. He went to the field the next morning and he saw that there was none of the corn eaten.
