    the South it is a sign of rain and if it blows from the North it is a sign of frost and snow.
    Birds:- If the swallow flies high it denotes fair weather but if she flies low it is a sign of bad weather.
    Animals:- Cats putting their paws over their ears while washing their faces and cats tearing at wood with their claws are both signs of storm. Dogs eating grass is a sign of a change in the weather.
    Sky:- If faraway hills seem to be nearhand it denotes fair weather.
    Insects:- If flying ants are on the road it is a sign of rain.
    A Sloe year is a woe year but a haw year is a braw year.
