If insects crawl on the roads in large crowds on a warm evening a wet day will follow.
In this district it is believed that if the sky appears misty round the moon it will rain the next day.
Storm may be expected if the robins become tame and come to the doors of the dwelling-houses for food.
It is a sure sign of rain to see the crickets flying from place to place.
It is believed that storm is approaching when blue and green blazes rise in the fire.
"A rainbow in the morning is the sheperd's warning,
A rainbow at night is the sheperds's delight." The weather sign in those line is regarded in this district as true.
When the clouds move quickly across the moon it is a sign of a coming storm.
