    Ingredients: -
    1 pint sweet milk,
    1/4 " sour ",
    Method: Bring the sweet mile to the boil, add the sour milk, boil up and set beside the fire for five minutes. Strain and serve.

    1 quart water,
    1/2 teaspoonful of salt,
    Method: Soak the oatmeal in the water for at least twenty-four hours. Strain through
