  1. "A whistling woman and a crowing hen rises the devil from his den".
It is unlucky about a house for a hen to crow like a cock. When the hen crows you should kill her.
When crows come swarming about a house it is a bad sign for it is a sign someone will die out of that house.
If you are going anyplace and met one mag it is unlucky for one is for sorrow and two for joy.
If you meet a woman with a red head it is unlucky. If you are going to the fair with cattle you are sure not to sell.
When a ship is sailing out if a shark follows it, it is a sign someone will die on board.
If a black raven follows an army it is a sign they will be defeated.
It is very unlucky to tie one shoe on without putting the other shoe on.
It is unlucky to have the bed faced with the foot towards the door.
