- Medicinal Herbs and Cures:
Slán-lur: If a person is stung by ants and leaves a leaf of the slan-lur on any part of the body the sting is felt no more. If slan-lur be apllied to a cut it has very effective healing powers.
Chicken weed:
Apply warm chicken weed to banish a swelling.
Bundock: Boil it and drink the juice as a tonic for the liver.
Broom: Boil it as a remedy for removing water from the system.
Bogbean: Boil it in water, All of the broom to half gallon of waer as a cure for Kidney or Liver Troubles.
Stone moss: Boil two or three ounces in new milk and drink as a cure for gravel.
For a pain in the back: Boil together a naggin of cow's 'stuppings' and garlic. Apply the compound. when cool, to the small of the back.(continues on next page)- Collector
