- At a river near the shore of Lough Allen there is supposed to be a pot of gold hidden. About five years ago in the month of July a man named Patrick Creamer, of Derrintober, who is now deceased, was cutting hay. To his surprise he saw a large flag.He made the discovery known to two men named Patrick Walsh of Derrintober, and Owen MacGounty of Drumhall. They decided to go to the place.
