  2. Festival Customs - Whit Sunday and Monday

    People do not go near deep water on Whit Sunday or Whit Monday because there is a common belief that there is a drowning on water during Whit Week. It is said too that if people are obliged to go to water they should not wet more than their ankles.
    Another superstition is that if it is an absolute necessity to bring water you should be careful not to take a vessel with the trace of milk in it because it is said that the fish take the butter off the milk.
