    There is a holy well about four miles from Drumshanbo. It is called St Losar's well, Kilronan. There is a pilgrimage to it once a year from the 15th of August to the eight of December. It was on the side of a hill and for some reason long ago, some people closed it up, but it sprang up about two hundred yards further down the hill. There is a lake beside the well and it is said that it was made by this well

  2. As far as I can learn there are no Holy Wells in my locality.
    There is one at Oughterough Ballinamore known as Saint Brigid's well. There is a Pilgrimage there every year on 1st February. Cures are made there.
    There is another well known as Saint Patrick's in the townland of Kiltynashinna in the farm owned by Mr McKeon. Some years ago there was a pilgrimage to this well. A woman went to the well
