- Cures continued.
Once upon a time a woman named Connor who lived in Killabrid used to cure bleeding. The way she did it nobody knew so it was believed that she used to say some prayer in making it. One time it happened that a man went out to his pig-crow and he got his pigs all covered with blood and the sow bleeding out of the nose. He went to this woman and told her about the sow she gave him nothing only told him to go home that his sow was cured. He went home and the sow was cured but she was very white and weak.
This was told to me by my father, age about 40 years.
