My sight is getting dim - dear Tom
And tears are in my eyes
When I think of those we loved so well
    Those early broken ties
Ive wandered to the old church yard
And pulled some flower's to strow
Upon the graves of those we loved

Some are gone to foreign land's
Some in their graves do lie
But few are left of that brave band
    Excepting you and I
But when the time does come dear Tom
When we are called to go
I hope they'll leave us where we played.
