is called leag an Aifreann the glen of mass there is a little hill in which grows a haw-thorn bush to mark the place where mass was read. This hollow is surrounded by a number of hills called Cnocán na h Uireachtas the hill of the gathering so called because a great number of people gathered to them to watch the soldiers while mass was being read.
In later years a man named James Slattery was working in the field and he found a little bell said to have been the one used at mass in the Penal days.
