    used to be a pigsty built in the corner of the kitchen and the children used to sleep on top of the pigsty.
    The fire was made near the wall and there used to be a sort of chimney made of scallops and mud. In some houses the fire used to be in the middle of the floor and there used to be only a hole on top of the roof for the chimney. There used to be only one door in the houses and it used to be made of wood and bogdale.
