    he could not get up until Jacky told him. The devil asked him to let him get a chance, and he would give him three more years. Jacky let him go home then.
    When the three years were up again the devil came in, and Jacky said he would go with him when he finished his work, and he said "take the hammer and hammer that iron for me." The devil took the hammer but he could not take away his hand.
    Then he told Jacky he would get three more years. So he went off again. The three
