    back, and a blackthorn stick in his hand. He saw the ghost silting on the bridge, and he said "Good night." She jumped off on the road and followed him on.
    He gave her a blow on the head but she did not depart. He beat her until his stick was gone, then he said "she will kill me now." He thought of his knife with the long blade, he stuck it in her and she fell to the ground. He went away and heard something fall on the road behind him
