  1. (continued from previous page)
wedding - day or night were candles lit in the windows of houses and wisps made from straw, lighting on the sides of the roads. A wedding feast is also held. The bridegroom first invites his friends and they come to the bride's house where there is a wedding prepared for them and also her friends.
They spend some time there and then go to the chapel and are married. They then come home to the bridegroom's house which was called in the olden times a "bringing home" or a Drag. Another wedding was prepared there for them and the night was spent there in all kinds of amusements. The bride used to go with her brother on horseback to the chapel and behind her husband home.
