    man who intends to get married to send another man to the girl's house, and ask her of her father. If she consented he would send her a bottle of whiskey. On the next market day they would meet in the town.
    Then on the day fixed for their marriage the girl would dress in a blue suit. If they met a funeral it was unlucky. If the day is wet it is an unlucky omen. If the day is fine it is a sign of good luck. There is an old saying, "Happy for the bride
