    leather and send for the shoemaker. The man of the house would support the shoemaker until he had the boots completed. Then he would give him a shilling. The shoemakers that time went around from house to house and fixed and made shoes. The owner of the house would support him with good meals and a bed until he would have all the work done. Then he would go to another house. He would get the same pay there.
