    Tuam. There is a story told about a woman who lived there. Some miles from this hill there was a farmhouse. The woman of the house was prepairing the churn and scrubbing it. It was the custom that time to scrub the churn with straw. As she had the churn scrubed she threw the straw away, just then she saw a woman appear be-fore her. She went into the house. The woman of the house prepared a meal for her. This woman stayed nine months. During this time she did not speak to them. One day they were
