    unearthly noises so that all who heard were terrified. Then for some time no one lived in the house, as people for miles around, knew it was haunted. After some time, a stranger came and bought the house. The first night he stayed there with his wife and children, they were surprised to hear the noise. Then the door opened with a band, and the spirit came in, and stood on the flat stone, just at that time the dog was lying on the stone and the minute the spirit entered the dog fell dead, and the next day, the man came to the conclusion that there must be something buried under the flag. He got some other men to help him to remove the stone. They dug for some time, till they found the skeleton of a man. They took it and buried it in the graveyard at Kiltomey. There
