    Bishop's Palace: Toomna
    In Toomna about two miles from carrick-on-Shannon, there is the remains of a catholic Bishop's palace, Surrounding it is a small cemetery and about sixty years ago, we are told, that people within a radius of sixty miles visited it on Sundays and holidays. The graveyard is now in disuse but the old people say that there is still one family name Mannions, who have a plot in it and one member
