    The hens are fed three times a day with potatoes and pollard and Indian meal. They are kept in hen-runs during the day and are kept in their houses during the night. Their houses are equipped with every accomodation, such as trapnests, and roosters. "Tich" is the word used when calling the hens.
    When the eggs are being set a piece of iron is put under the nest to prevent the young birds from being killed by thunder or any other noise. The people exchange each other hen eggs as they think some other hen eggs are luckier than their own for selling
