When you hear the Curlews whistling it is a sign of rain.
When the wild geese come it is a sign of hard cold weather.
When the cat sits with her tail to the fire it is a sign of storm. When the dogs eat grass it is a sign of rain. When the horse stands with his back to a bush and gallopes it is a sign of thunder. When a persons corns get sore it is a sign of rain. When the house is full of smoke it is a sign of frost, and when there is a green blaze in the fire it is a sign of storm.
