- Marriages usually take place locally before Easter. It is unlucky to get married on Saturday in May or in June because the people that get married on these days or months never get on well. There is match making done in this district and money is given as dowry. The last match was made out six months ago. The wedding feast is usually held in the bride's house and the straw boys usually come in and dance and play music and dance with the bride and bridegroom. Sometimes they behave well but very often they get drunk and fight.
