  2. Long ago the people had three meals a day - breakfast dinner and supper. They had Indian porridge for breakfast potatoes and milk for dinner and potatoes or porridge for supper. The people drank buttermilk.
    The people never sat around the table. They sat round a basket of potatoes on the middle of the floor. The table was along the side of the house but the people would not eat off it for fear they would dirty it.
