    To drink water of lime which should be steeped over night is a cure for a cold.
    A person having warts should rub them with a black snail, making the sign of the cross at the same time. Then hang the snail on a thorn and as he withers, the warts disappear. No person must be told or there will be no cure.
    A grass mouse boiled in milk and then eaten is a cure for bad kidneys.
    Mrs McGuire Drumhanny Mohill cures cancer by means of a plaster.
    The wine of boiled dandelion or nettles cures all skin diseases and serves as a blood purifier; a poultice of raw grated potato cures a burn or scald; butter milk whey serves as a remedy for ordinary colds.
    While linseed or flaxseed poultices were applied for pneumonia.
    Application of washing soda sampled in water removes warts.
