fairies and as we were going home we looked for fairies under mushrooms.
There is a song about an old Fenian who was in Drumard once. He was transported to Australia years ago. All the people in Drumard said he was a credit to the townland and Parish.
Then there is a lough which filled in and is now called the blind lough. There is an old story attached to this lough. There is supposed to be a crock of gold hidden under a stone, but there is supposed to be a cat and an eel guarding it and somebody will lose his life to get the gold. So nobody has chanced it yet. Many people would'nt think there is such attached to Drumard it seems so backward.
