In former times people with their ailments by old cures handed down to them from our ancestors.
tooth aches~Were cured by getting a tooth of a dead persons head when making a grave and rubbing it to it or where entering or leaving the church to rub a drop of holy water to it.
Stys on eyes~are cured by getting ten goose berry thorns and point nine to the sty every Monday and Thursday, the tenth has to be thrown away.
Boils~are cured by getting a bottle of boiling water and heating the bottle well then empty out the water and hold the bottle to the boil it is said it will suck it out.
sore ears~long ago people used put the freshly shorn wool of sheep in them.
head aches~people have cures for the headache but i dont know what it is.
sore throat~is cured by roasted potatoes or salt put into a stocking and tying it around your neck.
