- Mr Jones who lived in Drumard owned a mill. The four walls of it are still to be seen. It is about 50 yards from where his house stood. It is built near a river on the summit of a little hill at the back of it there is a mill-dam.Some distance from this mill in Mr Johston's field there was a brick factory where bricks were made. Some bricks are still to be seen in the field where this factory stood. On our land in olden times there stood three houses. The foundation of two of them can be seen to the present day. Mr MacKiernan owned one of these house. He also planted some apple trees one of these trees were still growing till 15 years ago.
