  2. Thomas Dooner who lived in the parish of Bornacoola was a very smart county man. Once he made an appointment with a certain man to meet him at a neighbour's house. Thomas landed at the house but there was no one there. The man of the house was away and Thomas turned back again and went home. After some time he wrote a letter to the man who disappointed him and it began thus : -
    Just at 6 30 in the torrents of rain
    Never in your life shall you fool me again
    The night it was dark blowing desperate hard
    The door only latched and [Rap?] was on guard
