  1. Saint Monaghan was saint that lived in the town of Mohill some years ago, and Mohill town got its name after. He built a monastry in Mohill in the time of the Danes, and the remains of it is to be seen yet, at the back of the place where the Protestant Chapel now stands.
    Anyway this Saint had cow, and anyone that would go to milk her
