    We often lingered by the shades when we to school were sent
    Though out teacher bright would always like our minds with lore to fill,
    And the local school was standing in my own loved Finiskill.
    Those schoolboys then so jovial are now ll in manhood's train,
    And I fancy that they often wish that they were bos again;
    Some of them are in foreign climes, and some the soil do till - .
    The soil of this spot so dear to me my our loved Finiskill.
    I've seen some lordly castles and I've viewed some mansions grand
    I've see (some) domes where once did dwell the rules of our land.
    But I'd sooner live in that little cot beside the murmuring rill
    Thanks dwell in a mansion far away from my own lovely Finiskill.
    The land is hilly and fairly good. It is much better as crop land than for grazing purposes. Part of it, on the eastern side is boggy and it is from this bog that the people
