- (continued from previous page)father and another man went down to see what was at the lone bush. So they went down and wasn't the girl there with the four strange fellows The two men tried to pull her away but they weren't able. The next night the same two men saw the light again, and they went to the lone bush and they saw the girl there again with the 4 strange fellows. After a great deal of pushing and fighting they got the girl away from the bush and home to the house. But when she came back she couldn't speak. The fairies struck her dumb so that she wouldn't tell anything about them. As long as she lived she never spoke afterwards.
