    55 A cure for a bit of a dog.
    If you get a bite of a dog, get a hair of the dog that bit you, put it to the cut, and the cut will heal.
    56 A cure for a cut with a stick.
    If a man hits you with a stick, get a piece of his coat, burn it, and put it to the cut.
    57 A cure for a head-ache.
    Get ivy-leaves and make a cap of them. Place on the head, in a few hours the head-ache will be gone.
    58 A cure for a sting of a wasp.
    Get a blue-bag. Rub it to the sting and the blue will take out the poison.
    59 A cure for wind in the stomach.
    Get a cup of buttermilk. Put a tea-spoonful of baking powder in it. Stir well and drink it. In a few minutes the wind will be gone.
    60 A cure for a cold in the head.
    Get a cup of buttermilk and warm it well. Put plenty of sugar in it. Drink while warm. In the morning the cold will be gone.
    61. A cure for worms.
    Fill a bath with warm water. Put about 2 lb salt in it. When the salt is dissolved, put the sick person in the bath. Later the worms will
